Well, Desdemona is off to the editor/beta reader, a sane person who will tell me whether I've gone completely off the rails or not. After she gives me her sage advice, I will do a final edit and Desdemona will be here.
It turned out to be less of a romance and more of a dystopian fairytale which I absolutely love. It's rich and thought-provoking and very black lives matter...Feminist...And loving. I am surprised by it and entertained. It's not as dark as the fallen angel series and not as fun as the Solitary King, but it's rich and textured and very darkly fairy-taled....I love it. :) Coming SOOOON!!!!!!!!! Almost there.
Next up Celestine A Moulin Rouge inspired Christmas Romance....so excited.
Well, the first draft is almost done. I still have to rewrite it a couple of times, which won't take too long :) And I love it...but it's weird and sexy, but not AS SEXY as other things I've written which I also love.
I'm not yet sure how it ends, but I'm excited to see!

Show the SOLITARY KING some love. For the first time in my life, being Azriel Hope (I've done it for my boss many many times)
I am ALMOST on a best seller list. We can make this happen...cause it's almost there. So if you liked The Solitary King, tell your friends and spread the word.
Dane is the prince...and Asher is his bodyguard and they are pretty steamy...and hot for each other.
But Dane has to get married in order to be king and so at the ballet reviewing an arts application for a royal grant, Dane sees Lyric...a beautiful dancer in a sensuous ballet.
And their world is turned upside down.
And soon the three of them will have to navigate their love in a society that doesn't want them to be themselves or love each other.
It is all taking just a wee bit longer than expected because of my other writing projects. (Hallmark movie, YA novel series, and a book for Harlequin) BUT the Solitary King has had beta feedback and PEOPLE LOVE IT!!!
It's definitely a fun read. The book isn't meant to be anything more than just fun and enjoyable. So mission accomplished. :)
If you like MMF romances...hold on, we are almost there :) I'll have a date for you tomorrow, but it's close and Desdemona will be right behind it, so two new Azriel Hope books will be out before Halloween. WEEEEEEE.

Beta feedback is coming in and it's great news for The Solitary King :) just a few tweaks here and there and we're going to print. This means Desdemona might be a little later than planned but so very worth it.

Okay, settle down....(as if there is anyone reading this who isn't completely settled down right now).
So, I went out into the world as Azriel Hope and wrote an Azriel Hope book for mainstream...ish. I still was me, love, sexual fluidity, trying new things, but the publisher seemed to be all about that...and then, in the end, they weren't so...THE SOLITARY KING will now be an Azriel Hope book. I need to do a few tweaks, should only take a couple of days, get a cover, should also take a couple of days and a few beta readers...that might take a little more time. (Anyone wanna raise their hand to beta read? Just leave me a comment in the comment section and I'll send you a copy in a few days.) Oh, and I need to get it professionally edited...all doable in a pretty reasonable time frame. Ooooh, I'm excited.
Here's the logline :)
THE SOLITARY KING, 60K words, is a story about Prince Dane, whose father is ready to abdicate the throne on the condition that Dane finds a wife and marries her quickly before he is coronated, king. The only problem is Dane is in a relationship with his bodyguard, Asher. Reluctantly, Dane selects a wife from the list provided for him, and against Asher's wishes, he chooses Lyric a beautiful ballet dancer who has run from her royal heritage. As Asher grapples with his worry that he will lose Dane to his wife, Dane faces rejection when Lyric refuses his proposal. On a mission to satisfy his lover, Asher brings Lyric back to the castle, and their tenuous friendship becomes love. Dane soon finds the same love for the kind-hearted Lyric and now they must sacrifice themselves for roles they must play so that Dane can become king. As Asher, Lyric, and Dane face the prejudice of their kingdom, Dane realizes things have to change in order for them to ever be happy together...and so he becomes the solitary king.
It's sexy and fun, has series potential and it's all MINE yay. Actually happy that mainstream didn't want it. Now to go and make it sing just a little more.
This story was inspired by this incredible Spanish film The Sex of Angels (Le Sexo De Los Angeles) ironically where I live. (Not Spain, I wish, But Los Angeles)

Biracial but passes for white, though doesn't want to. She's twenty years old living in EDEN (Enclave for the Daughters of Eve and Nature) being pursued by both God and the Devil to win a bet.
Aaliyah
Desdemona's best friend and a mother to Elijah a nine-year-old boy.
Magnolia
A transgendered teenager working at Lush a dance club where clients book dancers to perform for them. She also is the queen of the balls held nightly at Lush.
Landry also works at Lush and does a lot more than dance...and she loves it.
Killah is a bodyguard who protects the women of EDEN and the children in the Kinderbridge.
Sharkey is a gay man living in EDEN to escape the streets where he was beaten within an inch of his life. He's the life of the party now...
Nina a biracial teenage girl who is a shy and reserved scientist, someone Desdemona has taken under her wing.
Luca is Lucifer, the devil. He's made a bet with God to woo Desdemona and in doing so will save humanity which has become so debaucherous God has chosen to obliterate them. If Luca can get Desdemona to choose him, knowing who he is...he will win and humanity is saved.
Lord Jehovah Navareen (Joe) is God almighty. He's tired of the hateful way humans treat one another and is ready to end them all. He makes a bet with the devil, whoever can woo Desdemona first will have the right to destroy or save the human race. The devil, in a strange twist of irony, fights to save them as God seeks to destroy everything he once created.

I'm writing my new book and it's like...okay. It's God and the Devil and they are fighting over the same woman and there are vampires and werewolves and upscale NY restaurants and there's still Broadway but most of the human population died of a virus and everyone lives in militarized enclaves and oh it's the end of the world...and yes there are transgendered women like in Pose and murder hornets....just kidding there aren't any murder hornets, but a meteor is heading towards earth....oh and it's a romance. DESDEMONA.
To this, my oldest daughter responds: "I love you, Mom. You are so...wow." And seriously I'm not exactly sure how she meant it. I'm thinking the wow wasn't like WOW mom you are amazing, it was probably more in line with "wow mom, you are extra...or weird...or um, I probably shouldn't say what you are"
Oh, and did you notice the cover reveal? Hmmmm.
It's coming along getting close....one more month to go and Desdemona will arrive. I think, mostly....sure.
I so wanted to leave a comment for the person who decided to give a one-star review to all of my books (one she didn't even read).
I would have said:
"Why didn't you like the books? They had trolls in them." HA HA HA HA :) some people just suck.
But alas, I didn't...or did I just....hmmm.
I'm madly writing for my boss...yay insanity. The books I ghostwrite continue to be best sellers...sigh.
AND...I'm writing for another publisher, so that book is also taking time, but my stand-alone now has an outline and a book cover and...concept art, so it's moving from a brain blob to the pupae stage of story development.
I am also outlining the next of the Immortal Romance Series, this one will not feature fallen angels as heavily but will deal with other realms of Eternity and will follow Rayelynn's twin brother's life, at least he will be one of the characters. But that trilogy will begin at the end of the year, so probably the first book will be out around Christmas...I'm thinking.
For now, there will be a stand-alone, just to air out my writer brain and go somewhere else for a while.
Desdemona is a contemporary retelling of the Adam and Eve story, sort of. It's set in the future, during an apocalypse, and is based on an argument between God and the devil as to who could tempt the same woman to choose the fate of mankind. If she chooses one of them humanity as it is currently, (or in the time of the story) will be saved, if she chooses the other, everyone will perish...
